Includes engraved frontispiece to Crosby's Caledonian musical repository. The Glen Collection and the Inglis Collection represent excellent archives of 18thth century Scottish music, including Scottish songs. The Hopkinson Verdi Collection contains contemporary and later editions of the works of Verdi, collected by bibliographer Cecil Hopkinson. The above scanned image is from page 34 of Highland Bagpipe Makersby Jeannie Campbell, published by Magnus Orr 3 (Not in original Bibliography). This book is currently in a private collection in Scotland but is being offered on the market shortly. 4 (Edition II in the original Bibliography).

The Caledonian Repository of Music for the Great Highland Bagpipe by Alexander Glen Cannon identified four editions of this book but managed to locate edition 2 only. Since then two more have been discovered; edition 1 and another previously unidentified edition. This latter one will be called edition 3a.
